    Services

The Weintraub Center strives to provide a physical and intellectual environment conducive to catalyzing collaborative research efforts amongst clinical and basic investigators interested in Biotechnology Research. The Center provides services and consultation on state-of-the-art research techniques through our main core facilities:

Histopathology Laboratory
The Histopathology Laboratory accommodates most advanced histological specimen preparations, including highly mineralized tissue containing metallic implants. The established protocol using the Ektakor diamond saw system consistently produces histological sections not only for the Weintraub Center researchers but also for outside researchers.

Imaging Center
The Imaging Center houses a three-dimensional microCT machine for efficient analysis of small bone specimens. Rich information obtained from reconstituted 3D images plays an integral role in characterizing transgenic mutant mice. Furthermore, rapid therapeutics prototyping for bone regenerative medicine and new generations of endosseous implants have significantly benefited from the Imaging Center at the Weintraub Center.
