Joyce Schumann has 40 years experience as a histology technician primarily working with paraffin embedded biological specimens and specializing in decalcified, paraffin embedded hard tissue, and is the Histopathology Laboratory coordinator for the Weintraub Center. Joyce’s focus for the last 10 years has been on undecalcified, plastic embedded bone/tooth/implant specimens using the procedures developed and established by Dr. Donath and EXAKT Technologies. Joyce started her career at the University of Minnesota Dermatology Pathology Lab. After moving to California she transitioned to the research arena at UCLA in Dermatology and later in the School of Dentistry.
